Cat Health Insurance

Cats are often as much a part of the household as humans and it can be very distressing if they get taken ill or go astray. While there’s sometimes nothing you can do to prevent your cat getting sick or going missing, you can ensure that they get the best possible care and attention and you could get some help when they do, with Direct Line’s pet insurance.

Choose from our Essential policy (which covers vet’s fees for a maximum of 12 months’ treatment up to £4,000 per condition) or our Advanced policy (which covers up to £6,000 per condition with no time limit on reaching this). Cover starts from as little as £6 (Prices correct at time of publishing) per month and whichever level of cover you opt for, you’ll get automatic access to our find a vet helpline, our legal advice line and our pet bereavement counselling service.

What makes Direct Line pet insurance a good deal better is that we cover your cat per condition, which means there is no restriction on the number of times you can claim for different illnesses or injuries. We can also deal with and pay the vet directly if you prefer, allowing you to concentrate on nursing your cat back to full health. We also give a discount if you insure more than one pet. Great if you have a house full of cats.

We also offer a range of optional extras, including overseas travel cover, third party liability (if your cat injures another person or damages their property) and the cost of putting your cat in a cattery should you have to go into hospital.
